Crime scene cleanups are almost always sensitive.  Any documentation we need to collect will not be shared or distributed.  If the cleanup is part of an insurance claim, we’ll seek the permission of the property owner or the family to share any photography with the insurance company.  

The Process of Crime Scene Cleanup in Dallas

Every situation is unique, but we follow the general procedures. 

• We will verify the scene has been cleared by the local police department before starting work. 
• Schedule the cleanup at a time convenient to the property owner or family of the affected.  To avoid unnecessary attention, this may take place after-hours or overnight. 
• If the scene is sensitive, we do not require family members to enter the property.  Instead, we work with them to gain entry to the property. 
• Items that can be restored will be sanitized and given back to the family.  For belongings that cannot be restored, they will be disposed of in accordance with biohazardous waste rules and regulations. 
• If any part of the property needed demolition, our reconstruction team will repair it. 

Filing an Insurance Claim For Crime Scene Cleaning

Some insurance policies cover crime scene cleanup.  Please contact your insurance company to ask if this type of claim is covered under your policy.  

If it is, we will ask you for your insurance claim number and contact information for your adjuster.  A Project Coordinator from our office will be assigned to your project to help process your claim and ask your insurance company to approve all services necessary to restore your property to preloss condition.
